Hi Backers,
First as a strong reminder It’s imperative that we lead this and future updates reiterating that any delays to release schedule are now largely tied to either safety impact testing & certifications (depending on your required cert) or electronics/RF testing & certifications.
This portion of product rollout is outside of our control, as there are numerous submissions by other companies to each certification entity. Progress is officially being made and the progress for each certification has been updated on our website.
Now; on to the updates.
Safety First:
- DOT certification – PASSED
- ECE 22.06 certification – Retesting is underway and we expect approval around/before 10/18.
- SNELL certification – Our CEO has been in contact with the foundation and our helmet is planned for presentation to the board for review around the latter part of October. Pending favorable approval to proceed, we will then move forward with official certifications. As a brief reminder, we submitted and pass initial prototype safety testing certifications for a number of test points. Official report details can be found in our 12.5 update HERE.
Extended Beta Testing Update
Our extended beta testing during this final phase of certifications is already underway. We’ve already gained some additional valuable feedback from backer Lexy DeVore. Below is a status update on current extended beta testers:

- Austin Gleason – Backer #14 (Est. Shipping 10/11)

If by chance one of the backers above cannot participate, we will draw another backer’s name.
Segue – our CEO wanted to include a special statement. That is, we truly do care about our backers outside of just being customers. With that, we want to ask everyone reading this to send a special prayer up for Richard Greene Backer #11. We can’t divulge exactly why, but our CEO has spoken with him 1-on-1 and prayer is warranted.
Other Updates:
- Software is scheduled to be wrapped up in the next 2 weeks! We’ve received our initial stitching update from our dev team and they are fine tuning and optimizing. We expect to be able to show this incredible 240 degree RFOV to you all within the next week.
- As a reminder, we’ve made a number of updates to our website so swing by and take a look.
- Production of our HW and helmets are underway and fine tuning requirements have been passed along to our manufacturers for optimum manufacturing and assembly for the final v1.0 helmet models you’ll soon receive.
- We have prepped things for a pleasant unboxing experience and are adding in a few surprises inside those boxes, so get ready for that as well.
