Let’s get down to iC-R business—Safety First:
- DOT certification – PASSED
- ECE 22.06 certification – response from testing entity due tonight
- SNELL certification – helmets now expected to ship out for testing early next week
Beta Testing Update:
We’re thrilled to announce that ICH has officially completed its Beta testing phase! The iC-Rs+ received high praise for its functionality and overall build. The feedback we received from our dedicated backers Sebastian Lucian, Hoyte Carelock III, Tammy Copland, and Stephen McGuinness has been invaluable in shaping what the final product everyone receives will be. Their enthusiasm and support have been truly inspiring.
It wouldn’t be Beta without encountering a few minor bugs during testing, such as:
- In Beta Test 2 with Hoyte (Indiegogo Backer #19), where the rearview camera mode would default back to the main HUD app screen. We took this information back to our dev team immediately and they informed us that the reason could’ve been due to 1 of 2 things: (1) the rearview mode was set to display only a few seconds vs always; (2) the BT controller lost connection—in this case it was due to the latter. We found that through frequent use, the battery in the BT controller happened to give out that day. We tested this with a fresh battery in the BT controller in Beta Test 3 with Tammy & Beta Test 4 Stephen, and the rearview mode performed as it should have.
- In Beta Tests 2-4 it was reported that the speedometer overlay on top of the rearview mode would stop functioning intermittently. Our team is currently working on identifying and resolving this issue.
While we continue to wait for ECE 22.06, FCCID, CE, RoHS, & UN38.3 certifications to complete (see our last update for details on these); our team is diligently working to address the minimal reported issues promptly, finalize our rear camera stitching, and fine tune software as much as possible prior to launch. We’re confident that ICH is now ready to deliver an exceptional flagship product and user experience.
