Let’s get right to it as we’ve had a very busy past few weeks.
Safety First:
- As a reminder, we’ve successfully passed DOT certification and are expecting confirmation of passing ECE 22.06 in the next few days.
- Our CEO is in communication with SNELL, with helmets due to ship out within the next week for official testing.
Software:
- Software optimization is on track to conclude by 08/09.
Shipping & Hardware:
Our estimated shipping commencement date for pre-orders has shifted slightly, due to the following reasons; which are beyond our internal control:
- Our final custom camera modules arrived as mentioned in our last update, but the front camera cables were too short. Our dev team has obtained the necessary extension cables and are finalizing testing today (07/31/24).
- Our dev team ran into a hiccup with regards to our camera stitching, but are expected to be finished by 08/09; which is in alignment with our software wrap up mentioned above.
Our team was expecting to have the additional required certifications completed by today, but recent communications showed a delay in testing commencement. Those final required certifications are as follows:
- FCCID (U.S. req’d): The FCCID is a unique identifier assigned by the Federal Communications Commission to electronic devices that emit radio frequency energy. It’s mandatory for devices sold in the US.
- CE (EU req’d): CE marking is a mandatory conformity marking for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). It signifies that the product meets EU health, safety, and environmental protection requirements.
- RoHS (EU req’d): RoHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. It’s a directive from the European Union that limits the use of specific hazardous materials in electrical and electronic products (EEE).
- UN38.3 (U.S. & EU req’d): UN38.3 is a United Nations standard for the transportation of lithium batteries. It’s a global standard adopted by many countries and required by most shipping carriers for lithium battery shipments.

Event Updates:
Our CEO just came back from a large local Bike Week hosted by Xtreme Drag Racing (XDA) at the Maryland International Raceway, and also recently attended Bike Night hosted by Cycle Gear here in Springfield Virginia; which were both big successes with all of our helmets features (except for rear camera stitching) on full display. We’ve garnered additional interest from:
- General Riders
- Moto Vloggers
- Podcasters
- Motorcycle Apparel Shops – which our CEO is in discussion with for retail stock
- Drag Racers—one of which is a 13x champion
