Today, on this Thanksgiving, we at Intelligent Cranium Helmets (ICH) are filled with immense gratitude. We give thanks to God for the opportunity to bring this innovative product to life. We’re also incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of our team, our beta testers, our partners, and our dedicated community. Your feedback has been invaluable.
- Our extended Beta testing has been very helpful and we’ve implemented feedback and resolutions for the issues brought to our attention, such as wind noise: we’ve improved our chin curtain to extend it further towards the neck and switched to a more firm over-ear cushion foam.
- We’ve passed the 3rd of the 4 hardware certifications and received our official RoHS certification. We are anticipating receiving our final hardware certification towards the end of next week, which is our UN38.3 surrounding the safety of our batteries and is the last cert required to begin shipping within the U.S. and in general.
- We anticipate having our official ECE 22.06 certification within the next 1-2 weeks. Based on recent feedback from our manufacturer, the ONLY issue was surrounding the thickness of the EPS where our speaker cavity resides.
- We have officially begun producing the samples to submit to SNELL and expect to submit those for testing and certification within the next 1-2 weeks. We have some additional information concerning SNELL that we’ll share during our official update 1st week of December.
- All hardware is produced and ready. Our camera vendor will be shipping our rear cameras and front cameras to our team on 12/02 & 12/10 (respectively).
- All helmets will be ready to ship to our team within the next 1-2 weeks.
- Everyone who is in the first batch of 100 should’ve received two notifications from our Smartsheet: (1) requesting final validation of your helmet size (based on our updated helmet sizing chart below) and shipping details, and (2) that their helmet is IN PRODUCTION, so please check your inboxes.
We will be sending out invites to also join our CEO and team at CES in January, to meet some of you that have supported ICH over the years and so you can experience all that CES has to offer (if you’ve never attended). Your admission ticket will be covered, so you’ll just need to cover travel and lodging.
We are on track to begin shipping initial helmets out and getting them in the hands of initial backers just in time for Christmas and thereafter. We have more information coming, so stay tuned as always. What some thought was a scam and many thought would never come, is finally here.
