Certification Milestones: A Testament to Quality
We’re thrilled to announce that ICH has officially passed the rigorous ECE 22.06 certification! This milestone is a testament to our unwavering commitment to the highest safety standards. We are currently awaiting the official report for final review and record keeping, and we look forward to sharing the complete details soon.
Regarding SNELL certification, while we achieved success in several key areas, we are diligently working to refine specific aspects to meet their stringent requirements. Our team is already implementing improvements, and we are confident in a successful resubmission.
Shipping Updates and Streamlined Production
Shipping is underway, and we’re eager to get ICH helmets into the hands of our remaining pre-order and newer valued backers. To ensure your helmet enters production swiftly, please complete the backer survey (HERE) if you haven’t already. The next batch of production helmets is slated for shipment in April, bringing us closer to fulfilling our commitment to rider safety.
Listening and Evolving: Enhancements Driven by Rider Feedback
Our commitment to continuous improvement is paramount. We’ve carefully analyzed feedback from our Beta testers and are implementing the following enhancements:
- Optimized Battery Performance:Â In our pursuit of reduced helmet weight and given our helmets are able to operate while also charging, we’ve transitioned to a 1900mAh battery; maintaining functionality while enhancing comfort. Existing helmets will receive a complimentary battery replacement, with ICH covering shipping for those who choose our convenient swap service (recommended) or providing the battery for self-installation. New batteries estimated to be ready within the next 2 months.
- Enhanced Inner Liner: We’re finalizing new improvements to our inner liner to provide superior comfort and further reduce wind noise (which every helmet has) This upgraded liner will be provided free of charge to our initial 100 backers for this you only need to cover the cost of shipping.
- Advanced Proximity Sensing: After rigorous testing, we’ve decided to enhance our proximity sensing capabilities. All helmets will receive an over-the-air (OTA) update disabling the current sensors by default. Simultaneously, we’re developing a motorcycle-mounted radar sensor solution, communicating via BLE, which will be provided at no cost to our initial backers and included in all future shipments. In conjunction, any iC-Re orders will be upgraded to iC-R orders by default. Our model features will be updated to reflect these changes and advancements.
