Great question! The:

  • Alpha S: has zero technology
  • iC-Re: has a clear visor, 128GB storage, but no cameras
  • iC-R: has a clear visor, 128GB storage, & only rear cameras
  • iC-Rs: has a clear & tinted visor, 256GB storage, & 1080/30fps front camera

It’s currently at 3.8lbs (something like a Bell Race Star flex or Shoei RF1400 is around 3.65 lbs.)

We’re getting around 6 hours with our current battery but we also offer a smaller battery with reduced weight and subsequently, operation length. Note our helmets can be charged and still operate while riding so you’re never without power.

Unlike larger more established companies, we are not passing through any additional cost to our customers based on the current tariffs applied by both the United States and China.

The company will continue to consume that cost for as long as we possibly can.

The speed obtained by the helmet comes from GPS, so the accuracy of the speed depends on the strength of the GPS signal. The deviation of GPS speed is generally between 2-3mph.

  • First, please ensure you’re on the latest version of our helmet software (v3.2.20250701) and that you’re on the latest mobile app version for iOS or Android.
  • Next after you’ve updated and validated your mobile app is connected to your helmet, perform the following helmet modifications:
    • Click ‘HUD Settings’
    • Click ‘Driving Recorder’
    • Ensure ‘Record sound’ is toggled ON
    • Click ‘Front + Rear’
    • Click ‘Done’ in the upper right corner to save the settings.
  • Alternatively you can make the necessary modifications through the helmet HUD Dashboard (we recommend using the desktop Vysor mirroring application for ease of control):
    • Click on the ‘Settings’ application
    • Scroll down and click on the ‘Driving Recorder’ option
    • Modify all the sub-settings desired

This will now allow your helmet to record both front and rear cameras simultaneously and NOW with sound! Note that only the rear camera footage will have sound, but with both recording at the same time you can align the videos and/or extract the audio in your video editing process and copy the sound if you only want to show the front camera footage.

Unfortunately, Mac computers can not directly mount the helmet storage system as is. Fortunately, we have a work around so that you as a Mac user can still access and copy your helmets files to your computer for editing and social sharing!

Here are the steps:

  1. Download the following app ‘MacDroid’ from the Apple store onto your Mac computer by clicking HERE
  2.  After completing the installation, open the MacDroid application.
  3. Power on your helmet and connect it to your Mac using the provided USB cable.
  4. Once connected and recognized by the MacDroid application, click the option to mount the storage device via ADB method.
  5. Once the mounting is completing, proceed to open your Mac file system and click on the ‘MacDroid’ option to access your helmets storage system.
  6. Click on the subfolder titled ‘Storage’
  7. Click on the subfolder that shows alphanumeric characters (see ref image HERE). Note that this folder naming is likely to change/show different each time, but the path to access is the same.
  8. Click on the folder titled ‘TripRec’ and you should see all your files populate in the right window pane.
  9. Copy your files from this sub directory to your desired directory on your Mac computer.
  10. Repeat Steps 3-9 when you’re ready to access the video files from the additional helmet storage partition.

Note: as a reminder, the helmet has two separate storage partitions that are controlled by the toggle switch next to the power button inside the helmet (currently). You should always keep the toggle switch in the UP position during normal operation. The DOWN position is only used to access the front camera’s footage when connected to a PC.

We currently support XS-3XL. For your convenience, our helmet sizing chart can be found at the following URL: https://da.gd/Size_Chart

Google Play review requires a way to access all app functions for Google review testing, and it needs to be compatible with a 10 inch tablet. Currently, some features in our app require Bluetooth connection to the HUD before they can be used. Our app is a mobile app and is not compatible with a 10 inch tablet.

Yes! Note that our stock helmet options (which are returnable) going forward are:

  • Carbon Fiber Black Gloss
  • Carbon Fiber Black Matte

If you order a helmet outside of this design and color scheme, we can support and produce it which will likely be cheaper than getting it completed post manufacturing; but it will be considered “made-to-order”—which can’t be returned.

With a pillion some of your FOV will be obstructed, but not all. Our helmets give you 240 degrees FOV, so there will still be view of your sides visible (Reference footage coming soon).

The other thing to note is that you will also still have the benefit of our motorcycle mounted radar proximity system to support your situational awareness.

We have dual 256GB capacity PCBs that can hold approximately 32-64 hours of 1080p 30fps video (depending on specific bitrate & compression).

The max duration for a single file is 5 minutes with a new file being created every 5 minutes. If the remaining capacity is insufficient it will automatically delete the earliest file to save the newest file.

What we’ve seen that happens is you will receive that error message directly after a system update only in software versions prior to v3.2.20250701.

The current fix for this is to update to the latest version of our software, which has resolved this issue.

Once we process a refund from our store, we can assure you that the funds are on their way back to your original payment method. The refund is automatically sent back to the card or account you used for your purchase.

How Shopify Processes Refunds

It’s a great question, and there’s a common point of confusion here that we can help explain. When we issue a refund, the transaction is processed through our e-commerce platform, Shopify.

Think of Shopify as a secure intermediary. They first facilitate the refund by sending the money to your bank. After that, Shopify then deducts the refunded amount from our company’s account. This means that even if a customer’s bank hasn’t yet processed the transaction, the funds are already in transit and on their way to you.

Typical Refund Timelines

The timing of when you actually see the money in your account depends on your bank’s processing time.

  • Credit/Debit Cards: Most banks take 3-10 business days to process a refund and post it to your account statement. This can vary by institution.

  • Shop Pay Installments (powered by Affirm): If you paid using Shop Pay Installments, the refund is managed by our lending partner, Affirm. They will process the refund and apply it to your loan balance. This usually takes a similar amount of time as a credit card refund.

What to Do If There Is a Delay

If it’s been longer than the typical 10 business days, the best next step is to contact your bank or credit card company directly. Since they are the ultimate destination for the funds, they can provide a more detailed update on the status of the transaction in transit.

Sometimes, if a credit card has been canceled or expired since the time of purchase, your bank may be holding the funds, and you’ll need to reach out to them to claim the refund.

We appreciate your patience and understanding! If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always here to help.
